The Metro Will Have Five New Stations Between Vitosha and Studentski Grad

The metro will have five new stations between "Vitosha" and "Studentski Grad", with the route passing through the neighborhoods "Krastova Vada-West" and "Vitosha".

"We are working on this project and on selecting a designer for it," explained the mayor of Sofia, Vasil Terziev, to Nova Television.

The first new station after "Vitosha" will be at the intersection of "Cherni Vrah" Blvd. and "Dimitar Manchev" St. The second will be between "Prof. Vasil Arnaudov" and "Stefan Savov" streets. After that, the metro will stop at the intersection of "Simeonovsko Shose" Blvd. and "Prof. Dr. Iv. Stranski" St.

Here, according to the plan, an underground parking facility with at least two levels must be built. The fourth new station will be at the intersection of "Akad. St. Mladenov" Blvd. and "Prof. At. Ishirkov" St. near the NSA (National Sports Academy). The last one will be at the intersection of "Akad. St. Mladenov" Blvd. with "8th December" St. and "Dr. Yordan Yosifov" St.

Currently, 10 stations of the metro are under construction, the mayor reminded. Three stations from the third metro diameter are in the direction of "Levski" residential complex, six stations from the same line pass through "Geo Milev", "Slatina" toward "Okrazhna Bolnitsa", and one station between "Obelya" and "Lyulin".
