Despite the announced strike by bus, tram, and trolleybus drivers in Sofia, on May 16, 2025, the Sofia Metro will operate without interruption, according to "Metropolitan" EAD.
In response to the expected increase in passenger numbers, additional trains will be put into service and intervals between trains will be reduced across all four metro lines (M1, M2, M3, and M4). The goal is to provide fast, reliable, and regular transportation for residents and visitors of the capital during the strike day.
